The essential reason most businesses run pre-employment background checks are to uncover any criminal record in a candidate's past. Some of the time, these criminal history place somebody as hazardous, problematic, dishonest, or generally not reasonable for employment. Other times, the charges are minor, outdated, or unimportant to the current task and will not affect the hiring decision.
